trade shows and exhibits. Opened in 1963, Assembly Hall is one of
the two largest edge-supported domes in the world. The 17,000 plus
seat hall accommodates Broadway shows, musicals, major concert performers,
and the "Fighting Ilini" Men's Basketball team. Closed

in 1923, honoring the 182 Illinois men and one women who gave their
lives for their country during World War I. The stadium has expanded
to almost 70,000 seats. A $1.5 million air-supported "bubble"
covers the artificial turf for winter conditioning, practice and
post-season bowl game appearances. Wheelchair accessible.
